The Snap-on Cordless Handspin Wheel Balancer (EEWB314A) offers full balance capabilities in a compact and portable package.

Powered by the same Snap-on 12-, 14.4- or 18-volt Versa Volt battery packs that provide the cord-free capabilities of all Snap-on cordless power tools, the 125-pound Cordless Handspin Wheel Balancer can easily move between jobs and locations without ever needing an electrical outlet. The balancer also works off of a traditional 110-volt outlet using the included AC adapter.

The compact unit utilizes minimum floor and truck space - less than four square feet (32" x 16") - but offers the essential features needed to provide an accurate balance on passenger car and light truck wheels. The Snap-on Cordless Handspin Wheel Balancer and its accessories are versatile enough to accommodate wheels with diameters from 8" to 30" and widths from 3" to 20", as well as tires with diameters as large as 44" and weighing up to 120 pounds.

Multiple modes, including dynamic and single-weight static, five aluminum modes and a fine mode allow the operator to correctly balance a diverse range of wheels. The unit's fine mode is accurate to within 0.05 oz. (1 gram) for precision balancing on today's high-end wheels. The Snap-on Cordless Handspin Wheel Balancer also features a match-mounting optimization function to match tire/wheel placement for the most favorable balance using the least amount of weight per wheel. Now shops that traditionally can't or don't offer wheel balance service can use the unit's combination of full-functionality and small footprint to begin offering wheel balancing as an add-on service for their customers.

An automatic distance gauge automatically detects the wheel's distance (offset) with the touch of a button, increasing overall operator efficiency and accuracy. The Snap-on Cordless Handspin Wheel Balancer's two-operator mode stores size information for two sets of wheels, minimizing costly technician wait time. Wheels are quickly secured to, and removed from, the unit with the quick-nut thread release system.

The operator-provided handspin power drives the unit while an automatic brake stops the tire following the seven-second balance cycle. Advanced technology in the balancer's computer creates an accurate balance in a small, low-rotation unit. The low-rotation speed eliminates the need for a tire hood and makes the unit safer to use in a compact area.

A simple control panel, enhanced with intuitive graphics and lighted LEDs for measurement and imbalance notification, guides technicians through the entire balance process while the internal self-calibration and diagnostic capabilities reduce maintenance downtime. An internal spin counter allows operators and shop owners to monitor and calculate balancer productivity. The balancer's cabinet provides storage for balancer tools on its mounting pegs, two shelves and a control panel bin.
